Study on analysis of153Sm-EDTMP stability in vitro and vivo by HPLC

The behavior of¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP in vitro and vivo is analyzed by the size exclusion HPLC. The experimental results show that EDTMP amounts have an obvious effect on the stability in vitro and uptake of¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP in the liver. HPLC analysis of urine sample indicates that¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP es excreted in the original form. The behavior in vivo of¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP containing 4 μg is similar to that of¹⁵³Sm-EDTMP containing 50 μg EDTMP at 1 h post-injection.     

Crystal and molecular structures of 2,10-diacetoxy-13-thiabicyclo[7.3.1]-cis-tridec-5-ene and 2,9-dichloro-13-thiabicyclo[8.2.1]-cis-tridec-5-ene sulfoxide

The crystal and molecular structures of 2,10-diacetoxy-13-thiabicyclo[7.3.1]-cis-tridec-5-ene and 2,9-dichloro-13-thiablcyclo[8.2.1]-cis-tridec-5-ene sulfoxide were established. The conformations of the molecules are such that the unshared pairs of electrons of the sulfur atoms are directed to the carboncarbon double bonds of their molecules. Electrochemical synthesis of carbonyl- and phosphoryl-containing methano[60]fullerenes

The combined electrochemical reduction of fullerene C₆₀ in the presence of p-bromo-benzoyldibromomethane or bis(diisopropoxyphosphoryl)dibromomethane at a brass electrode in a mixed solvent o-dichlorobenzene-MeCN (3:1 v/v)/0.05 M Bu₄NBF₄ at room temperature affords 61-(p-bromobenzoyl)methano[60]fullerene or 61,61-bis(diisopropoxyphosphoryl)methano[60]fullerene, respectively, in 50% yields.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Bradykinin-potentiating peptide from venom of the spider Latrodectus tredecimguttatus

A bradykinin-potentiating peptide has been isolated from the venom of the spiderLatrodectus tredecimguttatus. Its physicochemical properties and amino acid composition have been investigated in detail. It has been shown by biological testing on isolated neck of the rat uterus that the peptide increases the contractile effect of bradykinin in in vitro experiments. The “potentiating unit” is 2 · 10^?3 mg/ml. A 50% increase in the hypotensive effect of bradykinin at a concentration of the bradykinin-potentiating peptide of 15 µg/kg of body weight has been found, the increase in the intensity of the effect being accompanied by a prolongation of its action.
